Davis Plus s.r.o. has become part of Agropoistenie s.r.o., a specialised insurance broker for agriculture and a member of the international RENOMIA group. With this acquisition we have expanded our retail portfolio by approximately EUR 1.2 million of managed premium.
What changes for Davis Plus clients
For clients of Davis Plus everything they have agreed so far remains in force:
- existing insurance contracts remain unchanged,
- the agreed insurance terms, sums insured and deductibles continue to apply,
- the way services are provided does not change.
At the same time, however, clients gain access to a broader team of specialists, to extended possibilities of insurance solutions and to the international know-how of the RENOMIA group. In practice this will show especially in negotiating insurance terms with insurers and in claims settlement, where the experience of a broker has a direct influence on the amount of the insurance benefit.
Why this matters for farmers
The agricultural sector has its specifics, which a universal insurance advisor often does not know in detail - from insurance of crops against hail, drought or frost damage, through insurance of livestock and agricultural machinery, to property, operational risks and the liability of the business. The larger the team of specialists and the volume of managed premium, the stronger the broker's position in negotiating terms in the client's favour.
That is precisely why we continue to strengthen our professional capacity. The combination with Davis Plus is another step in this direction.
Statement by the managing director
“Our priority is to ensure continuity of services and at the same time to bring clients even greater professional support in insurance administration, claims settlement and negotiating insurance terms. We want to confirm the trust of Davis Plus clients with quality work also under the Agropoistenie brand. At the same time we want to continue the growth of the company and actively look for further opportunities for cooperation and for joining with quality insurance brokers on the Slovak market,” said Ing. Marek Dudáš, managing director of Agropoistenie s.r.o.
How to proceed
If you are a Davis Plus client, you do not have to take any steps in connection with the merger – your contracts continue without change. However, we recommend using this opportunity to review your insurance portfolio, especially if in recent years you have:
- expanded the farmed area or changed the crop rotation,
- invested in new machinery, warehouses or technology,
- increased livestock numbers,
- not updated the sums insured on property for a longer time.
Underinsurance usually shows only at the settlement of an insured event, when it is too late to adjust. We will gladly go through the current setup of your contracts with you and propose any adjustments.
Open to further mergers
We want to continue expanding our scope. If you are an insurance broker focused on the agricultural sector or retail and are considering cooperation or handing over your portfolio, we are open to a conversation. For more information go to the Partnership subpage or contact us directly.
